Workplace examinations

Yes, Dr. Liva is a Designated Civil Surgeon. Immigration medical examinations conducted inside the United States must be performed by a civil surgeon who has been designated by USCIS.

Yes, Dr.Liva is certified to perform HIMS Evaluations. HIMS AME is trained in evaluating airmen for substance- or alcohol-related conditions or other mental conditions. HIMS AMEs can provide sponsorship and monitoring for such conditions when required by the FAA for medical certification purposes.

Yes, Dr.Liva is certified to perform FAA physicals.

Yes, Individuals are examined by Dr.Liva on regular intervals and the content of the exam is determined by legislative mandate (OSHA), by agency recommendations (NIOSH), the nature of the chemical hazard, the biological material, or the physical agents to which they are exposed as part of their work assignment.
