Immunizations have the objective of protecting individuals against some of the diseases to which the general population is exposed, diseases that are unique to the operations of a particular work site, disease following trauma, specifically tetanus, and diseases which may be prevalent in foreign countries.
What immunizations do I need?
There are three types of immunizations: Routine, Required, and Recommended
Routine Immunizations:
All adults should update these routine immunizations every 10 years, even if they do not plan to travel:
- • Tetanus and Diphtheria
Required Immunizations:
Some countries will require proof of these immunizations before entry:
- • Yellow fever
- • Meningococcal
Recommended Immunizations:
Depending on your itinerary, planned activities and current health status, your health care professional may recommend one or more of these immunizations:
- • Hepatitis A
- • Hepatitis B
- • Influenza
- • Japanese Encephalitis
- • Measles
- • Meningococcal
- • Mumps
- • Poliomyelitis
- • Rabies
- • Rubella(German Measles)
