Introduction
Disability/Independent Medical Examinations are a useful tool for managers who deal with employees undergoing prolonged treatment and/or excessive absenteeism. The Preventive*PLUS examination is needed to establish validity of the disability and/or for further benefits. Review of medical records is necessary to document the status of the patient’s care. Changes in diagnosis, prognosis, or expected permanent residual may occur.
