FAA Medical Exam

FEDERAL AVIATION MEDICAL EXAM

Introduction

The Federal Aviation Administration requires that Pilots receive recurring medical examinations.  The examination is performed by a Preventive*PLUS Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) who is designated by the Federal Aviation Administration. The AME has the authority to examine applicants for airman medical certificates and to issue and deny issuance of certificates. The regulations of airman medical standards are contained in Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations §§ 67.1-31.

EKG for First Class Applicants age 35 and yearly after age 40
Other Tests as required by FAA
